My brother printer is now only printing black backgrounds and white text

My brother printer is only printing with an all black background. Text is white. New computer Mac

Air running Monterey 12.0.1 I checked all settings &thoughtI updated printer but only got the printer install wizard. Which did nothing. My problem is not in trouble shooting on brother. It prints black background from my iPhone 6S & normal from my iPad. I have checked all settings many times. Is this a problem with the 32 vs 64 bit? If so my phone & pad are both updated to the latest system. My iPhone is old. My old computer printed properly.

Okay, I will assume that this is the Brother MFC-L2700DW model.

It does not appear that the MFC-L2700DW supports AirPrint printing.

Check that the printer firmware is current:

Try the available Apple troubleshooting sequence: Solve printing problems on Mac - Apple Support

I'd then try resetting the printing subsystem: Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem - Apple Support

My printer is connected to wifi. Only wire coming out of the printer is the power cord. Today I downloaded the Brother suggested app for my system from the App Store After doing that the on screen instructions said I needed an additional app which I found and downloaded & installed. Still prints white with black background, And there's a lot of it too, My around this today was to send my file to myself & send print from my old computer, I guess I am asking the wrong questions, the wrong place, If the printer wasn't so heavy I contemplated throwing it out the window. I have used it for years, it is a great printer when it works, this is the first time I've had any problem.
