Why does my iPhone capitalize letters in the middle of a word?
iPhone X, iOS 14
Hey there, Biddydo!
Thanks so much for using Apple Support Communities.
It's super important that you're able to use your keyboard as expected, without any odd autocorrect issues. We can help with this.
To start, it's possible that you have a text replacement set up which is automatically adjusting the words you're seeing and adding those capitalizations. If that is the case, you can make any changes by following the steps here: Save keystrokes with text replacements on iPhone. In the event that this doesn't do the trick, we would recommend resetting the keyboard dictionary. This will eliminate the chance that your iPhone has this particular capitalization in the dictionary, possibly due to the way the word was typed in the past. To do that, just follow the steps here: Return iPhone settings to their defaults. Be sure that you only reset the keyboard as other resets performed from those steps can end up resulting in data loss.
We hope this does the trick for you!
Cheers.
