From what I understand most USB-C to USB-C charging cables are rated for 100W. This has me confused as too.

If we can use a 100W USB-C to USB-C cable to charge the new 16" M1 Macbook Pro, can we also use the 96W Power Adapter to charge it as well?

Will using a power adapter with less wattage cause damage to the battery on the laptop?
