$.99 storage

Hi serious question. What am I getting I return for the 99 cents I pay per month for storage? Am I using this storage currently? How do I access it? Do my photos auto upload from my phone?

With iCloud+, you're renting storage that can be used to offload the contents that don't fit on your device (that you don't want to delete), a place to store device backups, and to store and share files or photos or other data you wish to share with others, among other uses.
