monterey installation not working

I have already tried installing Monterey 3 times. Errors each time. Deleted the installation file and turned it off and restarted the computer each attempt.


Tunning a Macbook Pro early 2015 which is listed as supported.

If you have the full installer ~12-13 GB it will be sitting in your Applications folder "Install macOS Monterey.app"


Reboot into safe boot mode and launch the installer form there. SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262


Verify you have adequate free storage space if the SSD is choked for space it will not install.

I’m having the same problem. Monterey seems to install but then freezes during start up. I tried rebooting and safe mode and the Mac behaved as if this was a brand new computer, asking me if I wanted to transfer data, and asking to set up a new computer account. I’m concerned about my existing accounts and data and don’t wanna proceed that way unless it’s tru”safe”. Can anyone help decipher this situation?
