Can Apple TV Model A1427 (Apple TV 3) support Airplay?

As far as im concerned all OS devices have Airplay which is part of the Operation System itself.

Short answer, Yes the Apple Tv 3rd Gen does have Airplay.

Apple TV (3rd generation) does support AirPlay. But you may find that some content providers (HBO Max, Paramount+, etc.) have their app to AirPlay only to later devices, and some (Netflix, Peacock, Xfinity) block AirPlay. Check with the specific content provider that you wish to use for AirPlay support.
