forwarding Mac Messages?

I am on a Mac. Many correspondents are on iPhones. Their texts appear in my Messages application. If I want to send one correspondent's text to another correspondent, I can do a copy and paste. But forwarding in email is easy Does the Messages application in OSX have a similar forwarding function? I have not found it.

(I asked this question three years ago, and the answer was No. I hope that something has changed, but I cannot find any forwarding tool in Messages.)

Individual text messages can be forwarded, click one of the bubbles and right-click it then select Forward. But all this really does is create a new text message for a new recipient. You do not see headers and history like you with an email.
