Map voice

How do I change the guidance voice on the Apple Map application?

The guy with the southern accent is driving me nuts (no bad pun intended).

iPhone SE, iOS 15

We appreciate you reaching out on Apple Support Communities. From our understanding, you’d like to change the voice used within the Maps app on your iPhone. We’d be happy to help out!

To change Siri voice, go to Settings > Siri & Search > Siri Voice. From here, you can select the voice that sounds best to you. To see more about that, check out: Change Siri voice or language - Apple Support It’s important to note that changing Siri voice will affect all apps, not just the Maps app.

Thank you much. I'm rid of that aggravating voice.

A funny thing happened, though, before I even posted my question: as I was attempting to locate an address in the dark while using maps, the voice changed to female for a few minutes then reverted back to male. Never happened before.

Screwy.
