Safari not working after update

Safari in not working correctly after 10.15.7 software update on 2012 iMac. Any ideas please?

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

Hi Gary D-E,


You may want to try turning off any Safari extensions / add blockers etc,

and turning off any Virus Checkers, (considered completely unnecessary on Macs) or other third-party (non-Apple) apps.


Sometimes necessary third-party apps also cause trouble, as they need to be updated to be compatible.


If Safari is still troublesome,

you might want to try working through the steps in this article (below) from Apple Support.


If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expected
