HP Printer Drivers v5.1 for macOS v. 12.0.1

Hi, when Big Sur was released, I was unable to use my HP LaserJet P1102w.

Nowadays, I have Monterey v. 12.0.1 installed, and I want to try HP Printer Drivers v5.1 for macOS that may help. (https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1888?locale=en_US)

But I cannot install it because of an error: This update requires macOS version 12.0 or earlier.

Is "version 12.0 or earlier" a desirable condition of the driver package, or is it an unwanted bug?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.0

Probably unwanted condition. I edited the HP Printer Drivers v5.1 package according to this post on the MacRumors forum (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/monterrey-and-hp-printers.2319676/?post=30525559#post-30525559), and the package can be installed after that on macOS 12.0+.

And I can install and fully use my older HP LaserJet P1102w with the included driver.
