How can I erase my data on MacBook Pro

1. If your mac has macOS big sur or sooner

- turn off mac

-turn on mac and immediately press and hold command+R until you see apple logo.

-from options on the screen select "disk utilities"

-select internal Hard disk 'Macintosh HD' from left side. Then select erase from middle top.

-enter your mac password and disk will be erased.

After disk is erased, select reinstall macos from recovery screen. Select macintosh HD. That way your software will be there.

(DO NOT FORGOT TO REINSTALL MACOS).


2. If your mac has MacOS monterey or has T2 chip.

-choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, choose System Preferences > Erase All Content and Settings, then follow the onscreen instructions.
