Blocked mails won't go to trash bin in Mac nor iOS

I went into the process to block email address in my Mac Pro and in my iPhone, both with the latest OS. I set the blocked emails to go to the trash bin automatically. But I still receive blocked emails in both devices. In my Mac I can activate all my accounts and manually force Mail to "apply rules". At that point, blocked mails go to trash bin. But I have to do it every time manually. On my iPhone I haven fund the way to get rid of the blocked mails. They stay in may inbox with a "blocked" mark. Apple support made me reinstall the whole OS from scratch, but I keep having the same problem.

Can any body help me getting rid of these annoying "blocked mails"?

Thanks

Thank you Eric.

It seams that Apple doesn't want us to get rid of blocked mails. On my iPhone, I went through the whole process you decribed and it's working. Thanks. On my Mac I haven't been able to replicate the process. It doesn't work the same way

Cybershark,

We're happy to hear that helped resolve things on the iOS side. On the macOS side, are these the configuration options you're using to try and filter blocked emails to the Trash: Change Junk Mail preferences in Mail on Mac

If so, does it happen with multiple email accounts, or just one, if you have more than one that is?

If the above link doesn't help, and you're updated to the latest macOS, we'd recommend following up with Apple Support for further investigation. This link can help with starting the support request: Get Support

Take care.

Hello Cybershark,

We see you're having an issue with blocked emails remaining in the inbox, and we'd be happy to help.

On your iOS device, head to Settings > Mail > Blocked Sender Options. In here, ensure that the 'Move to Trash' option is enabled. Then, go back one screen, and tap on Accounts, select your email account > Advanced. In here, check to see where 'Discarded Messages' are set to go (Deleted Mailbox or Archive Mailbox). Then, look above to the Mailbox Behaviors section, and see what the corresponding mailbox behavior is. For example, if discarded messages are set to go to 'Deleted Mailbox', then check above that to see if your Deleted Mailbox is set to 'Trash' (or preferred location).

Cheers.
