Iphone XR code 9 error won’t restore

My iPhone XR failed to update to ios15

Phone is now stuck on recovery screen. In iTunes the restore feature runs until almost the end but fails with error 9 when restore almost complete. It brings up apple logo on my phone and shows progress bar on my phone but fails near end. Phone then reverts Apple support recovery screen. Have tried two different laptops and have tried the other tips. I do not have a backup image for the phone.

Suggestions?

Your phone could have a hardware issue. I would contact apple.

Have you tried restoring an iPhone using dfu method?

Yes, goes into dfu mode. Same problem. Brings apple logo onto phone screen with progress bar but errors out with code 9
