I have a SONY Bravia TV from 2017.

The tech is telling me that the TVdoes not support the Apple TV app. It also cant do mirror screen—and the TV won’t do airplay. I tried using a screen mirroring app and Apple TVstopped functioning because to said the feeder app was recording the Apple show I was trying to watch. Any ideas? I really want to watch Foundation on something larger than an iPad and don’t want to buy a new TV.

you can buy the appletv box and connect it to a hdmi port of the tv

Apple TV HD 32GB - Apple

and choose the hdmi port as active input source for the tv, i have mine connected to a sony bravia from 2009
