Siri voice??

My Siri voice sounds robotic and will not change no matter what Variety or Voice I choose.

when I click on the voice to choose it, it proclaims itself properly and in the proper accent. But once I use Siri in Apple CarPlay or on my AirPods, it defaults back to some robotic voice I can barely understand.

All my updates are proper and I’ve tried rebooting.

extremely annoying when I’m trying to listen to texts in the car and I can barely make them out.

any help??
