We'd like to provide you with some guidance: Charge the MacBook Air battery. This is part of the User Guide and is a good reference for items battery related. When you’re Mac is connected to a power source, it will be charging your battery. To reduce wear on your battery, you can select “Optimized Battery Charging” so it learns your routine and delays charging. You can change the settings in System Preferences as suggested here too.
