Hello, and welcome to Apple Support Communities Gma03,
We can see from your post you have questions about how to conserve your MacBook Air's battery health and if it's a good idea to keep it charging.
We'd like to provide you with some guidance: Charge the MacBook Air battery. This is part of the User Guide and is a good reference for items battery related. When you’re Mac is connected to a power source, it will be charging your battery. To reduce wear on your battery, you can select “Optimized Battery Charging” so it learns your routine and delays charging. You can change the settings in System Preferences as suggested here too.
To understand your battery better, this might help too: Batteries - Why Lithium-ion? It explains the charging cycle.
We hope this helps!

With the power adapter connect, once the battery reaches full charge, the charging will be disabled an all power for the MacBook Air will come from the adapter.
Thanks for the info
