Can the battery be changed in an iPad?
Can I get a new battery for my iPad. It’s about 5 years old and doesn’t seem to hold the charge very long.

Yes - insofar as Apple offer an “exchange” in lieu of replacing the battery in your own iPad.
Whether or not it is a cost effective exercise for a +5 year-old iPad that is perhaps approaching the end of its support lifetime is only something that you can decide.
