family sharing of Apple News+

I want to add Apple News. I initially clicked on the 1 month free offer and that worked for me, but my wife is our family organizer…so I canceled my subscription and had her subscribe so we could all enjoy Apple News+ . But now I can’t view via sharing, but others family members can. I’ve checked the family sharing set up on my wife’s settings and it looks correct. How can I get this to work for my devices?
