Camera shutter sound

I have iphone 12 pro. The camera shutter sound is always on whether i use the sileny mode, volume control or hard reboot. It just doesn’t work! The shutter is always making the sound. How do i make it silent?? Help!

That is a phone designed for the Japanese market. You will not be able to silence the shutter sound for the camera. That is there because it is a law in Japan not to be able to silence the shutter sound. It is a privacy issue.

It would depend on where the device was designed to be sold in. There are a number of countries that do not allow the shutter to be silenced. If you go to Settings>General>Model and provide that information, someone can verify if that phone is from one of those countries.
