No. Having deleted it from My Devices does not make you iPad Air 2 inoperable. All is fine, as long as it was not inoperable prior to deleting it.

Have you tried a simple hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake/power button simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons?
