external camera for ipad pro

Hi,

I am using an ipad pro with magic keyboard. The user experience is fantastic with the exception of the camera usage.

Is there a way to connect an external camera to the ipad? I have tried with my webcam with usb C cable but it doesn't work. Is there a workaround this?
