photos from my iPad and iPhone don't transfer to my iMac

Hi, I assume you use iCloud to sync your photos between all your devices.

Check Photos Preferences in your iMac: do you have iCloud Photos checked?

Is your library set as the system library?

Do you have enough iCloud space for your whole library?

Do you have plenty of free space on your mac?

I have the same question. I have iCloud photos checked but it still doesn't transfer the photos.
