Sorry, apparently no hope.
The best the iPad 2 can do is iOS 10.3.4
I will say that after a little digging I've found the model MD944LL/A seems also to correspond to iPad 4, maybe reintroduced in 2014, but I can't confirm it. And that model also has a maximum iOS version of 10.3.4. (per Mactracker app).
I bought it in November 2012. 🤦🏻♀️
It says iPad 2. Model MD944LL:A.
