WiFi will not Disconnect
on my & my wife’s iPhone , our home WiFi will not automatically disconnect when out of range like 20 miles away .We half to turn off WiFi , to be able to use google search or any apps

Try resetting your network settings on both devices (Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Setting. Note that you will loose all the Wi-Fi networks you've been connected to and will need to add them again.
