This Mac Pro is new to me today. The system is the latest macOS Bir Sur. I transferred all the data on my other Mac computer to this computer through the "Migration Assistant". However, I found that Safari could not download any files, and the message was "Safari cannot download file XXX because there is not enough free space on the disk."
My computer has 1 TB, and there are 800+ GB of remaining disk space
I also checked all the files that can be accessed by Google and checked the permissions of the "Download" folder. After confirming it was "Read & Write", but I still couldn't download any files from Safari, and sometimes Safari would crash automatically.
I use Chrome to download the same file and save it in the same folder, both of which can be downloaded, but Safari can’t.
Help! ! grateful! !
I’m not sure how to check the permissions of the Safari download directory. Does anyone know? Thank you very much.
Try a different browser and compare your results. It is always good to have more than one browsers on your machine— this is one good example as to why.
Maybe it is an issue with download link itself/ the source file....
