Can I use the Time Machine app on my MAC to backup to iCloud?

Pros and cons versus using a local storage device? I have an Airport 2TB which I use for backups at home. When travelling with my MAC for extended periods, I want a second "mobile" device to backup to. I could use a USB / Thunderbolt drive which I carry with.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.6

You cannot back up a Mac to iCloud, but you can enable iCloud Drive, desktops and documents.

Or, you can use a second external hard drive to back up and alternate that drive and your Airport for backups.
