I have a functioning SIM card in my iPhone. However, my iPhone says no sim installed. I have tried restarting my phone, updating iOS, taking the sim out and cleaning it and putting it back.
please help me out.

If the SIM works in another phone then it could be contacts or hardware.
Wipe the SIM with dry cloth like denim.
Make sure the SIM is correctly oriented to the notch in the tray
Move the tray slightly in and out using the tool 20 times.
If it still fails take the phone into Apple Store for checking
