How do you schedule the frequency of the time machine backups?

How do you schedule the frequency of the time machine backups? This is backing up like every 2 hours. Eating up disk space. I can't find out how to change or schedule the backups anywhere like older OS versions allowed.

You cannot. Time Machine automatically makes hourly backups for the past 24 hours, daily backups for the past month, and weekly backups for all previous months. The oldest backups are deleted when your backup disk is full.

Sadly there isn't any user friendly way to manage the frequency (default is hourly).

i'd suggest installing a 3rd party app: much safer and precise than messing with plist config file settings. I use TimeMachineEditor by tclementdev.
