Preview 11.0 Text Alignment

In Preview 11.0 (Build 1018.6.2) if you use the Markup Toolbar and then create text inside a rectangle, if you select 'Center' Alignment it does Right Alignment. And vice-versa.

MacBook Air (2020 or later)

How to change a TEXT object’s anchor point to vertically center The title says it all. I am talking specially about TEXT objects. I understand you can change the vertical alignment (it’s actually grayed out for me in the Inspector pane, but I can change it using the onscreen HUD which does nothing- I feel like that should be the solution?). Is there another way of doing this with precision without having to manually move it using the anchor point tool? It is still at the default position of underneath the text. I can change the anchor point left, right, or center (horizontal) alignment but again, I want vertical alignment with the anchor point.

How do you turn off automatic alignment in Preview app? 10.14.4 Very frustrating. I can't find the option in preferences for Preview on how to turn off the automatic alignment. You know the yellow lines. The preferences menu only looks like this: Please help.

preview texts on mac Can someone help me figure out how to get the left side of the preview larger on my texts? I have no idea why it changed and when I toggle over the area to make it wider (as shown in the attached picture), it does not widen. Thanks for any help.
