I Get an email that says I can Get appletv + for a year for free, and when I try to follow the link, it says after 7 days, I pay. How to Get it for free?

The free year offer was for new devices first activated before July 1st, but not longer than 3 months ago. For devices activated after July 1st, the offer duration is 3 months instead of a year.
The extended free trial can be redeemed once per user or family, regardless of the number of devices purchased.
The email itself is not important for redeeming. It is just a reminder message.
