No, sorry. High Sierra is the latest you can run.
So my only option is to buy a new one?
A new, used or refurbished Mac from 2012 or later to at least upgrade to Mojave.
Thank you for you help. I now need to decide what to do, either buy new again or get a newer Mac that’s been refurbished.

You're welcome. Personally, if I were going the refurbished route I wouldn't be looking at anything older than a Late 2015 Mac.
I currently have the Mac Os High Sierra on my mac but want to upgrade my software. Its a( 21.5 inch Mid 2011) Can someone advise me please.
