One of my 2012 Mac Mini’s has a 960GB PNY SSD and the other has a 1T Crucial SSD. I upgraded them several years ago and both are still going strong today.

No, you cannot install 32GB of RAM in the Mac mini late-2012.

It tops out at 16GB.
