I then logged in into my apple account and updated the system software to Catalina and then to Big Sur. But then soon enough it asked me to update final cut pro and when i am trying to update it asking me to buy the application.

The license is non transferable and id associated with an Apple id, not to a computer.
The previous owner bought it with his Apple id, and can redownload in his new mac, if he chooses to (I am on my third mac since I bought it, and only paid once, for example).
You do not have a license, so you can’t update. The previous owner should have erased his system and only put in a clean OS before passing it on to you. You got a freebie for a while.
Ok thank you but will the software work if it is downgraded back to Catalina? because the app worked before when It was in Catalina version.
If yes what ar the ways I can downgrade it
What version of FCP do you have now? What version of Catalina were you using? The last two versions of Catalina use the same version of FCP as Big Sur?
The catalina version of FCPX. I was using the latest version of catalina. No the last two versions used the normal catalina version of it
What version of FCP are you using? To update the software that came with the computer you will need to buy it. As Ian said you have something a grace period by using the trial version.
I recently brought a second hand macbook pro.... The owner gave all licensed paid applications too free in that with including final cut pro.
