So my old phone screen stopped responding and I got a new phone. Is there anyway I can force a backup of my phone without being able to have access to my screen
iPhone X, iOS 14

Generally, no. If you backup to iCloud, plug in the phone and leave it be overnight as it may still backup to the cloud. If you backup to your computer, and you haven't restarted the phone since your last backup, connect the device to your computer and see if you can initiate a backup that way.
