USB SuperDrive not working after macOS Big Sur 11.6 update

I was able to play DVD's on my M1 MacBook Air with my USB SuperDrive prior to installing the recommended macOS Big Sur 11.6 update. Afterwards, the SuperDrive mounts but no longer plays the DVD's.


Any ideas for a fix?

Same issue here. I had to use the VLC free app to work. See this link:
