i need to remove an applewatch off of my icloud but the phone that it is connected to does not work and won't turn on so I can't pair my watch to my new phone

why can't you unpair your applewatch just with your icloud why can't you unpair it with your icloud.

From a web browser,sign in to iCloud.com with your Apple ID.

Go to Find iPhone.

Click All Devices at the top of the screen.

Click your Apple Watch.

Click Erase [device]. Select Next until the device is erased.

Click Remove from Account.
