How can I block spam SMS text messages coming from an email address?

I am receiving spam text messages from an email address sending to a consecutive list of phone numbers (including mine). Blocking, deleting, and muting handles that single occurrence but isn’t stopping them from coming again because they’re sending from a gmail address, not a phone number. Is there a way to stop that specific email address from texting me?
