Unable to delete/erase partitions on mac using disk utility.
Basically, I want to clean anything this is on MAC and want to reinstall the new MAC OS on My Macbook pro-2017.
I tried to install the new MAC OS but it give me an error too. Tried too many time.
I am very worried about the Mac. Please help!.

You need to erase/reformat/initialize the "parent" Drive...

If @leroydouglas' instructions do not work, then you may need to select the "MacBook" volume and click the "-" which will then prompt you to delete the "Volume Group". Delete the "Volume Group". Afterwards you should be able to erase the physical SSD as described by @leroydouglas. For some reason Apple keeps making this more and more difficult without providing proper details & instructions with their official documentation.
Thanks a lot, Apple community. I resolved the issue by deleting the partition. I don't know how I deleted it. as I tried the terminal ways as well as uitil disk UI. And the issue is now resolved.

Those steps would work on that entry (APPLEAPFSMedia), but it's not actually the parent drive. That's a mislabelled entry for the APFS container (which is a partition on the parent drive).
The parent drive would be the APPLE SSD.
