concerning email from you

i received an email from you saying that there is a problem with my payment information. Is this for real?

If you are uncertain about a message and a resource provided in that message, do not click on any links. Try to independently verify the resource by going to a support page on apple.com and use that to contact Apple. In this case, check your payment status as instructed in this document: Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods - Apple Support


If there truly is a problem it will appear in red.


Scams (e-mail, text messages, and phone calls) are getting very good at closely imitating true Apple communications. Always be cautious. Here are some guidelines:


Identifying legitimate emails from the iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/HT201679 - Lacks in specifics as to how to actually tell if a message is really from Apple. The next link is better:
