Hi there Carol Stewart,

Thanks for joining us in Apple Support Communities! We understand you're asking how to prevent apps from moving around and how to remove apps from the App Library on your iPhone. We're glad you're here, and we can provide some guidance.

To begin, if you're viewing the App Library on your iPhone, it's normal for your apps to move around. "The apps that you use most frequently will automatically reorder based on your usage." Have a look at this support article to learn more:

Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone

Next, while removing apps from the App Library isn't supported, you can change where new apps get downloaded in Settings > Home Screen. Have a look at the 'Change where new apps get downloaded' section of the link above for more information.

Also, you may find these links helpful:

Personalize your iPhone Home Screen

Move apps on the Home Screen on iPhone

Organize your apps in folders on iPhone

We hope this provides some clarity about how to manage the Home Screen on your iPhone. Don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any more questions.

Cheers.
