I am using Pages (Catalina 10.15.7) and trying to select multiple lines at once (object lines, not text lines) and the shift key does not select multiple lines. It behaves just as the command key and selects only the line the cursor is on. Any suggestions?
Yeah, well I almost never use Icon view, and the issue I described happens not only on Finder, but in every app that you can use multiple item selection, ie: Photoshop - Selecting multiple layers.
It seams that by pressing the Shift key multiple times, it changes something in the keyboard behaviour.
Well after dwelling with this for a while, I decided to install https://github.com/keycastr/keycastr,
which help's to see what keys are being pressed.
And then I realised that the problem was with the Shift key it self,
so dust is most likely the reason for my issue 🤦🏻
Well it seams that something changes when one presses the Shift key twice. 🤷🏻♂️
This is knew to me, probably new behaviour (shortcut) introduced in this version.
Selecting multiple items works as described in all views except Icon view.

You're welcome. Then I assume you know Icon selection hasn't worked as described since before Catalina. Has nothing to do with the 11.5.2 update.
