I cannot get apple watch to pair with iphone after request for update.

I cannot get apple watch to pair with iphone after request for update. Says not connected to internet, but everything says connected to internet. iphone is up to date. Now the watch has reset to factory defaults and it has lettering larger than screen. There is no way to change it.
