Will my “restore from iCloud” keep running in background even though the iPad display keeps turning itself off due to the default sleep setting being set too low? (A major oversight imho.) My time remaining says 2 days! I can’t very well sit here and tap the screen every 2 minutes for an entire two days. The progress bar hasn’t budged, and I’m falling asleep. (See picture for where the progress is at after 1 & 1/2 hours.)

We see that you're concerned that your iPad is going to sleep during a restore. We'd be happy to help!
You shouldn't need to worry about it going to sleep as long as it's connected to power and Wi-Fi. It should be able to continue in the background.
