My MacBook Pro 2020 runs hot and tends to drain battery quickly. Is there anything I can do about it?

What exact Mac is this...there is no 2020 16" MBP

The only 16" Intel MBP is 2019.
The first thing I would do is update your software to the current stable release, macOS 11.5.2:
