Cannot Move or Delete Pages in Preview

Hey so I used to be able to do this but now I cant drag pages out of a document in preview or delete specific pages in preview. Can anyone help? Thanks

Export the document that is giving you trouble from preview: menu File > Export as PDF. . . and give it a new name.

Open that exported document in preview and test.

With Preview in macOS 11.5.2, you delete a PDF thumbnail page by selecting it and pressing the delete key. There is no prompt, it just rapidly disappears from view. You can put it back from the Edit menu > undo if done so immediately in the current Preview session.


Although you can drag/drop a selected, individual PDF page to the Desktop (it will appear as originalPDFname (dragged).pdf, you cannot do this between Preview and any other application that can receive PDF drop items (e.g. Pages).
