How do I back up my Iphone that was lost? I need to retrieve the photos on it.

You cannot. If you sync photos with iCloud, visit iCloud.com/photos.

Otherwise, follow the steps here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201472

The photos, and other data, will be lost.
