Deleted text messages

Unless you house your messages in iCloud, they are saved on your iPhone backup. Restore that backup to retrieve the messages that were present when the backup was created.

Yes, but restoring from a backup may be difficult for someone to do and you may lose some things when restoring from the backup.

I do see what you mean though.
