Admin Account not accessible

This is a question about an earlier thread which it won't allow me to reply to now. The issue is no Admin user on a MacBook with High Sierra with Filevault turned on.

Was able to mount the disk (I have the FileVault password) and located the /var/db directory and successfully removed the .Applesetupdone file. I have confirmed this by using 'ls' and the file is not listed.

However after rebooting it went straight back to the normal login window showing the Standard user and Guest - it did not go through the setup new account process as I was hoping it would.

I went back to the /var/db directory and confirmed the file is not there.

Are there any other files that need to be deleted to make this work properly?

Thanks,

No other files need deleting, I wonder if it's stuck in the Firmware?

Have you done a PRAM reset, CMD+Option+p+r...

In fact, do 3 in a row, takes a bit of time.
