Migration Assistant trouble

The Migration Assistant couldn't find my old MacBook so I continued on with the logging in process because I thought I would be able to go back and do the migration after. Can someone help me with this?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.3

Move your content to a new Mac

If moving your data to a New Apple Silicon M1 computer - be alerted.

Moving everything from Old to New especially the M1. What worked on Old may not work on New OS and again especially M1 CPU.

Would be careful to only migrate user account and nothing else.

So, during Installation and Setup you tried Migration Assistant within Setup but it didn't work.

After you completely install, setup your account you can still use Migration Assistant from within macOS. You can click Launchpad and look for the Other folder. Click it and you will see Migration Assistant.

Unfortunate experience. The tools for move from and to when only involving Intel to Intel generally work fine with some caution. But moving from Intel to newest Apple Silicon M1 using the ARMs machine code required to operation becomes a tricky issue.
