How can you stop automatic deletion of emai
iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15
Turn it off in Mail Preferences, Accounts, Mailbox Behaviors.

As stated in Mail Preferences:
Select the option you want in the drop down menu
I did try but I do not see an option that would allow me to stop the deletions..
